Here is a refreshing recipe that is perfect for a warm, sunny day!

I enjoy tea all by itself and when it’s mixed with lemonade it becomes a delicious drink that’s traditionally known as an “Arnold Palmer.” It’s so refreshing and you can choose any style, flavor, or mix of tea you like.

For this recipe, I used Maui Rainbow Tea, which is a Hawaiian tea that is “… inspired by the tropical flavors of the islands – fresh grown pineapple, juicy mangoes, tantalizing papayas, sweet lychees, and nutty coconut. This Maui tea is made by hand-blending carefully selected all natural and organic ingredients.  Superior loose leaf tea is blended with tropical fruit, herbs and spices for a delicious exotic taste.”

I chose the Wild Berry Hibiscus Fruit Tea, which is made with blueberries, raspberries, black currants, elderberries, and raisins. It’s so flavorful and is caffeine free so I can drink it as an afternoon tea and still be able to fall asleep come bedtime. And amazingly, it doesn’t need to be strained as the dried fruit softens up and is edible.

If you would like to make homemade lemonade to go along with your iced tea, my Lemonade Syrup Base is a recipe that you can easily make as well.


    Iced Tea Lemonade :
  • 24 ounces of water (3 cups)
  • 5 teaspoons Wild Berry Hibiscus Fruit Tea from Maui Rainbow Tea
  • 3 cups lemonade (1 cup homemade Lemonade Syrup Base mixed with 2 cups water)
  • 1 cup strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 cups ice
  • Lemon slices, strawberry, basil, or garnish of your choice


    Iced Tea Lemonade:
  1. Heat water to 180 degrees F (82 C).
  2. Combine hot water with tea in large glass jar or pitcher, let steep 30 min (I prefer placing outside in the sun while steeping, depends on the temperature though, you don’t want it to become bitter).
  3. Place thinly sliced strawberries in a freezer bag along with sugar. Seal, then lightly combine the sugar into the berries by manipulating from the outside and flatten out to shape.
  4. Put sugared strawberries on a flat surface in freezer while tea is steeping and cooling down.
  5. Mix tea with lemonade, refrigerate until cold.
  6. Serve over ice, add strawberries on top, garnish as desired.
