Synopsis
Critically acclaimed author Trish Doller’s unforgettable and romantic adult debut about setting sail, starting over, and finding yourself…
Since the loss of her fiancé, Anna has been shipwrecked by grief—until a reminder goes off about a trip they were supposed to take together. Impulsively, Anna goes to sea in their sailboat, intending to complete the voyage alone.
But after a treacherous night’s sail, she realizes she can’t do it by herself and hires Keane, a professional sailor, to help. Much like Anna, Keane is struggling with a very different future than the one he had planned. As romance rises with the tide, they discover that it’s never too late to chart a new course.
In Trish Doller’s unforgettable Float Plan, starting over doesn’t mean letting go of your past, it means making room for your future.

Review
Float Plan by Trish Doller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved everything about this book! I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely romance read, makes for the perfect beach read, escapist yet with substance.
The Story
Feelings are deep here. Unexpected character circumstances. Mourning, mounting grievances, love, loss, friendship, family, choices in life. Heavy topics were handled with genuine care. There’s bits of humor, coping, realistic conflict, practical resolutions but met with questions, an inner dialogue that can’t be questioned as healthy or unhealthy because in either case, it makes sense given the circumstances. A “this is life” depiction which is quite favorable to me.
The Writing
So much anticipation with every chapter, loved the chapter titles. An effortless read, this immersion into the story where I was ready to go wherever it took me.
I loved the setting! The Caribbean, always a place close to my heart along with all my favorite activities to go with it. Historical commentary was a bonus.
I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author especially if it is another one at sea.
