I love this blogger’s title, I can totally relate.
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>1. Find a book for each of your initials.

For this book, I chose <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6969.Emma?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Emma by Jane Austen since it was the first one that popped up starting with the letter E in my TBR list. It’s a classic. It was published in 1815 and tells the story about perilous youth and romance. It has been on my list for classic novels that I’ve been wanting to reread and I’m looking forward to picking it up again. <img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-3052″ src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/emma-book-2000.jpg” alt=”emma book 2000″ width=”2000″ height=”1336″ />

And next, I did a search for books beginning with the letter “R” and it came up with <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17899948-rebecca” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I’m looking forward to this one and it is the read for <a href=”https://www.sunbeamsjess.com” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>SunBeamsJess Book Club.

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/293585.Bellocq_s_Ophelia?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2885 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-9.52.51-AM.png” alt=”Screen Shot 2018-12-23 at 9.52.51 AM” width=”264″ height=”399″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>2. Count your age along your book shelf โ€“ what is the book?

This one came up with <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/293585.Bellocq_s_Ophelia?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Bellocq’s Ophelia by Natasha Trethewey. The style is written as ekphrastic poetry which I think will be interesting.

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/293585.Bellocq_s_Ophelia?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2886 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-9.54.57-AM.png” alt=”Bellocq’s Ophelia by Natasha Trethewey book, photo courtesy of Goodreads” width=”312″ height=”472″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>3. Pick a book set in your city/country.
<p id=”bookTitle” class=”gr-h1 gr-h1–serif”>How about <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12658.Hawaii?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Hawaii by James A. Michener. This one was recommended to me over the summer by a friend of mine and I am looking forward to reading it.

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12658.Hawaii?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2888 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.02.00-AM.png” alt=”Hawaii by James A. Michener book, photo courtesy of Goodreads” width=”266″ height=”399″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>4. Pick a book that represents a destination youโ€™d love to travel to.

I really want to visit New Zealand. It’s been on my travel list for quite sometime. <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/460635.The_Bone_People?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>The Bone People by Keri Hulme is described as “At once a mystery, a love story, and an ambitious exploration of the zone where Maori and European New Zealand meet, Booker Prize-winning novel The Bone People is a powerful and unsettling tale saturated with violence and Maori spirituality.” Definitely sounds like an interesting one!

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/460635.The_Bone_People?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2889 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.03.39-AM.png” alt=”The Bone People by Keri Hulme book, photo courtesy of Goodreads” width=”252″ height=”399″ />

<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>5. Pick a book thatโ€™s your favorite color.
<p id=”bookTitle” class=”gr-h1 gr-h1–serif” style=”text-align: left;”>I absolutely adore bright, clear yellow, I enjoy pink, but I really love cerulean blue. In fact I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to it. As a side note, while preparing for this tag, I found a post titled <a href=”http://www.davidwier.com/ceruleanblue.asp” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>The History of Cerulean Blue by David Wier which I found insightful. The book that came up for this pick is <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/series/154598-the-rail-legacy” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Cerulean Rust: Book Two of the Rail Legacy by William J. Jackson and I’m excited for this one.

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/series/154598-the-rail-legacy” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2775 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/screen-shot-2018-12-02-at-3-39-40-pm.png” alt=”Cerulean Rust: Book Two of the Rail Legacy (The Rail Legacy #2) book by William J. Jackson, photo courtesy of Goodreads” width=”267″ height=”405″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>6. Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

Tell Me What Time It Is (My Tiny 3-D Book Series) by Playmore Publishing was one of my most memorable and favorite books growing up. Unfortunately it is out of print. I still have my childhood copy though!

<img class=” size-full wp-image-2890 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.10.00-AM.png” alt=”Tell Me What Time It Is! My Tiny 3-D Book Series, photo courtesy of Playmore Publishing” width=”385″ height=”549″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>7. Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3836.Don_Quixote?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. It’s one of my most favorite books of all-time and was a classic reread for me this year. I attempted to read most of it in Spanish which was quite challenging. It took me several months. I followed along with the SPAN 300 <a href=”https://oyc.yale.edu/courses” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Open Yale Course which was excellent. And how beautiful is that embossing with gold foil stamping?

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3836.Don_Quixote?from_search=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2895 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/DSC01893.jpg” alt=”Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes book ยฉ 2018 ericarobbin.com” width=”4371″ height=”4000″ />
<h2 style=”text-align: left;”>8. Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/96471.Earth” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Earth by David Brin. I’m still reading this one from this summer’s <a href=”https://www.booktubeathon.com” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>2018 BookTube-A-Thon where we did a coin toss to decide our first read. Science fiction is one of my favorite genres.

<a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/96471.Earth” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2891 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_3201.jpg” alt=”Earth by David Brin book ยฉ 2018 ericarobbin.com” width=”4032″ height=”3024″ />

I hope you enjoyed this My Life in Books – Book Tag. Let me know if you participated in this one or if you plan to so I can check it out and if you have read or plan to read any of these books in the comments below!

And as always, happy reading!

Thanks for nod. You had some great answers to the questions. I tried to read Don Quixote once, but gave up when I discovered about 50 pages were missing. Never went back. Kuddos to you for trying to read it in Spanish.
