I love this blogger’s title, I can totally relate.</p><h2 style=”text-align: left;”><strong>1. Find a book for each of your initials.</strong></h2><p>For this book, I chose <em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6969.Emma?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Emma</a></em> by Jane Austen since it was the first one that popped up starting with the letter E in my TBR list. It’s a classic. It was published in 1815 and tells the story about perilous youth and romance. It has been on my list for classic novels that I’ve been wanting to reread and I’m looking forward to picking it up again. <img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-3052″ src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/emma-book-2000.jpg&#8221; alt=”emma book 2000″ width=”2000″ height=”1336″ /></p><p>And next, I did a search for books beginning with the letter “R” and it came up with <em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17899948-rebecca&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Rebecca</a></em> <span class=”by”>by </span>Daphne du Maurier. I’m looking forward to this one and it is the read for <a href=”https://www.sunbeamsjess.com&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>SunBeamsJess Book Club</a>.</p><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/293585.Bellocq_s_Ophelia?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2885 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-9.52.51-AM.png&#8221; alt=”Screen Shot 2018-12-23 at 9.52.51 AM” width=”264″ height=”399″ /></a></p><h2 style=”text-align: left;”><strong>2. Count your age along your book shelf – what is the book?</strong></h2><p>This one came up with <em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/293585.Bellocq_s_Ophelia?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Bellocq’s Ophelia</a></em> <span class=”by”>by </span>Natasha Trethewey. Pick a book set in your city/country.</strong></h2><p id=”bookTitle” class=”gr-h1 gr-h1–serif”>How about <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12658.Hawaii?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Hawaii</a> <span class=”by”>by </span>James A. Michener. This one was recommended to me over the summer by a friend of mine and I am looking forward to reading it.</p><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12658.Hawaii?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2888 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.02.00-AM.png&#8221; alt=”Hawaii by James A. Pick a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to.</strong></h2><p>I really want to visit New Zealand. It’s been on my travel list for quite sometime. <em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/460635.The_Bone_People?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>The Bone People</a></em> <span class=”by”>by </span>Keri Hulme is described as “At once a mystery, a love story, and an ambitious exploration of the zone where Maori and European New Zealand meet, Booker Prize-winning novel <i>The Bone People</i> is a powerful and unsettling tale saturated with violence and Maori spirituality.” Definitely sounds like an interesting one!</p><div><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/460635.The_Bone_People?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2889 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.03.39-AM.png&#8221; alt=”The Bone People by Keri Hulme book, photo courtesy of Goodreads” width=”252″ height=”399″ /></a></p></div><h2 style=”text-align: left;”><strong>5. Pick a book that’s your favorite color.</strong></h2><p id=”bookTitle” class=”gr-h1 gr-h1–serif” style=”text-align: left;”>I absolutely adore bright, clear yellow, I enjoy pink, but I really love cerulean blue. In fact I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to it. As a side note, while preparing for this tag, I found a post titled <a href=”http://www.davidwier.com/ceruleanblue.asp&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><em>The History of Cerulean Blue</em> by David Wier</a> which I found insightful. The book that came up for this pick is <em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/series/154598-the-rail-legacy&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Cerulean Rust: Book Two of the Rail Legacy</a></em> by William J. Jackson and I’m excited for this one.</p><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/series/154598-the-rail-legacy&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2775 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/screen-shot-2018-12-02-at-3-39-40-pm.png&#8221; alt=”Cerulean Rust: Book Two of the Rail Legacy (The Rail Legacy #2) book by William J. Which book do you have the fondest memories of?</strong></h2><p><em>Tell Me What Time It Is (My Tiny 3-D Book Series)</em> by Playmore Publishing was one of my most memorable and favorite books growing up. Unfortunately it is out of print. I still have my childhood copy though!</p><p><img class=” size-full wp-image-2890 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Screen-Shot-2018-12-23-at-10.10.00-AM.png&#8221; alt=”Tell Me What Time It Is! Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?</strong></h2><p><em><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3836.Don_Quixote?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Don Quixote de la Mancha</a></em> by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. It’s one of my most favorite books of all-time and was a classic reread for me this year.  I attempted to read most of it in Spanish which was quite challenging. It took me several months. I followed along with the SPAN 300 <a href=”https://oyc.yale.edu/courses&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Open Yale Course</a> which was excellent. And how beautiful is that embossing with gold foil stamping?</p><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3836.Don_Quixote?from_search=true&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><img class=” size-full wp-image-2895 aligncenter” src=”https://ericarobbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/DSC01893.jpg&#8221; alt=”Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes book © 2018 ericarobbin.com” width=”4371″ height=”4000″ /></a></p><h2 style=”text-align: left;”><strong>8. Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?</strong></h2><p><a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/96471.Earth&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”><em>Earth</em></a> by David Brin. I’m still reading this one from this summer’s <a href=”https://www.booktubeathon.com&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>2018 BookTube-A-Thon</a> where we did a coin toss to decide our first read.
