As spring baby, I love being able to choose from a variety of birthday cake wishes within the season, whether plain or cherry cheesecake, carrot cake with yummy cream cheese frosting, tiramisu, rainbow chip, or citrus cake with lemon curd.
One cake I really love is made by a local restaurant, what I think amounts to 14 layers of alternating chocolate cake and filling that is so decadently rich, bite after bite, creamy, and smooth. A real indulgent birthday treat. I hope to perfect such recipe and post someday.
A slice of birthday cake and a cup of coffee sounds so good right now!
