Summer 2019 Beauty Favorites: Hair & Nails

Summer 2019 Beauty Favorites: Hair & Nails

In continuing on with the second week of the 3-week Friday series of beauty favorites for summer 2019, here are my most loved products for hair and nails.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Volume Shampoo

I’ve used this line of shampoo for ages, at least 20 years. It’s my go-to shampoo for summer. It works well at volumizing in high humidity and acts like a clarifying shampoo, getting sunscreen and build up out of hair.

Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Masque

This is a hair mask, but I use it as a regular conditioner. It helps to get tangles out especially after a day at the beach or pool. I work it in with a wet brush.

Maria Nila Style & Finish Cream Heat Spray

I got this cream heat spray in Marzia’s Sub Box. It makes my hair incredibly soft and find that it actually works amazingly well as a detangler!

Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment

This is an old favorite of mine. I’ve repurchased this several times over the years and a little goes a long way. I use it to smooth the middle layers of my hair and ends after straightening. It adds a bit of shine and also smells like a coconut mixed drink with is lovely.

Splash of Grenadine by Essie

My spring and summer signature color! I do wear it all-year-round though as it’s one of those polishes that gives you a bit of a perk even during gray and dreary days. It’s a blue-toned almost Barbie pink, leaning toward the side of fun, yet elegant. It’s fully opaque with one coat and lasts forever. This is my second bottle.

Do You Lilac It? by OPI

Like it says, Lilac, and the perfect shade of it in one coat. It’s fun, soft, and feminine.

Koala Bear-y by OPI

This nail polish is like a yummy hard candy. It also is opaque in one coat and has a pretty shine to it. It looks great on fingernails and toenails and looks great with any summer outfit.

Mermaid to Order by OPI Sephora

Imagine the feeling of enchantment as mysterious waters and all the creatures in it call your name. This color always calls my name in summer and I love looking down and seeing the unique metallic teal shimmering on my toes.

What are your favorite hair and nail products this summer?
