Nintendo Game Inspiration: Honey Chocolate Cake from Overcooked!

My first 2 recipes failed. On the third, I ended up converting my recipe to a traditional butter cake instead of a sponge. You can see I only have one layer here after I used all my ingredients on my test trials. I just couldn’t get the rise with just the egg, flour, chocolate, and honey. The honey and 100% humidity was just too wet for my cakes. But my final recipe conversion result was absolutely delicious though! I also ended up adding cinnamon and nutmeg which is just perfect for this time of year.

And like the accomplishment of beating the game and making my the customers happy, I am determined to make the 4 ingredient recipe work with a little more experimentation, I’ll keep you posted on my website and you can read more about this baking journey as well as the final recipe I made at https://ericarobbin.com.

This was such a lovely romance story taking place around the 19th century that highlighted family dynamics, courtship, and the coming of age of characters. An artful expression of growth and maturity during dire circumstances, defining love and honor between a couple.
