BlOGANUARY 22, 2022: What is your favorite quote and why?
For today’s daily prompt, our writing challenge for Bloganuary, I’d like to share one of my favorite quotes that I think is relevant to today.
I have many favorite quotes. Certain ones speak to me at different times. This one is one I’ve had pinned to one of the boards on my Pinterest page for years.
With all the things going on in the world today, a record that feels like it’s on repeat, a continuation of this uncertainty, like watching a glass spill over in slow motion and nothing you can do about it, and trying to make sense out of nonsense, reminds me of one of my favorite movies and book, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Somehow I find comfort in the collectivity, the shared experience of it all.
““But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.””
