Homemade Framed Textual Art

Here’s an easy, inexpensive, customizable, yet personable way to decorate your home or present as a gift option for that special someone. Whether special occasion display and/or gifted for seasons and holidays such as Valentine’s Day, birthday, Christmas, wedding, or baby shower. Or general decor for foyer entrance, kitchen, living room, sun room, bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, or office spaces.

Some more elaborate frames can be expensive, but craft stores often have sales and a very simple frame can be quite stunning. Thrift stores and estate sales are great places to find frames. If you find one with a nick, scratch, or discoloration, you can always sand and/or paint over it using rejected, mismatched paints and paint samples found at your local hardware store, which are discounted because of the circumstances.

Just choose text, whether a scripture Bible verse, hymnal stanzas, song lyrics, quote, saying, or special poem as desired and frame it.

There are so many variations to make a beautiful framed text. Cutesy, whimsical, and fantastical to modern, elegant, and sophisticated. Ranging from differing frames of rough or polished wood, decorative plastic, or metal textures, matting or no matting, painted florals or patterns, textured and various colored paper, font styles, use of drop caps, creative display of stanzas.

The creativity is unlimited.
